My Lords,

With the conclusion of my review of the Word Bearers Omnibus novels, I have deemed it an opportune moment to send this missive to achieve two things.

The first is to discuss the work I have put into this Archive, something I have not been able to do since its inception. I have released reviews immediately from the beginning without thought of engaging its potential audience – which is you – and thus may have neglected an important part of this writing exercise. I would correct that with this missive and others like it in the future.

They call this the Dark Millenium, and for good reason. The myriad enemies of Man are circling the Imperium like wolves upon helpless prey, the might of the God-Emperor’s armies now only barely able to keep them at bay.

The tales of these times are many, culled together by authors from any extant sources such as surviving historical documentation, eyewitness accounts, necro-cortical recovered transcripts, classified Inquisition investigation reports, and even heretic warp-scryings and records purposely hidden from Edicts of Obliteration dating as far back as the age of the Great Betrayal itself.

These works are attempts to document the true and secret history of important events, to preserve information for later study or, for those unholy texts, to corrupt those foolish enough to read them.
